The uniform makes for brotherhood, since when universally adopted it covers up all differences of class and country.
Trail Life USA Handbook
First year participants at the Navigators/Adventurers level will be provided the Handbook for their level as a gift for joining the Troop. The Woodlands Trail handbook may be purchased by families but please note they are not actively used by the Troop for advancement tracking.
Troop Uniform
Like traditional scouting programs, Trail Life USA is a uniformed program. For Trailmen, the uniform is a visible symbol of the adventure, character, and leadership instilled within. In addition to allowing Trailmen to display their program achievements, the uniform also helps to build a troop’s identity and is an important part of the program. Uniforms, except as noted for Class C, are available exclusively from Trail Life USA’s online store.
The Troop will provide our Troop number insignia patch to first-year participants in Woodlands Trail.

Troop KS-1199 has established the following uniforms:
Woodlands Trail
Class A – required ~$45 – The formal Troop Uniform Shirt (shown on right, click image for purchase link) is worn at troop meetings, community outings, ceremonies, parades, and other dress occasions.
For Troop meetings and most activities, we ask that Trailmen wear appropriate pants or shorts that are dark in color (e.g., black/navy, blue jeans). Styles may include cargo, jeans or similar. We kindly ask that you do not wear athletic pants or shorts unless specifically permitted. We do not require the matching belt and Troop Rip-Stop Cargo Pants.
Formal occasions require dark dress pants (black/navy). If a hat is worn as part of the formal troop uniform, it should be Trail Life USA Tri-Color hat (black/red/green).
Shoulder loops signifying current program level (e.g, Fox, Hawk, Mt. Lion) are optional.
Class B – optional ~$30 – Woodlands Trail Travel Polo Shirt Official Logo may be worn at non-formal outings which do not require a Class A uniform. Trailmen should wear appropriate pants or shorts that are dark in color (e.g., black/navy, blue jeans). Styles may include cargo, jeans or similar. We kindly ask that you do not wear athletic pants or shorts unless specifically permitted. If a hat is worn, it should be Trail Life USA Tri-Color hat (black/red/green).
Class C – required ~$15 – The Troop custom red t-shirt “Walk Worthy” (available through Troop) may be worn during outdoor adventures and other situations where it is less practical to wear the formal troop uniform. Any appropriate pants or shorts may be worn.
Class C – optional ~$15 – The green Woodlands Trail T-shirt Official Logo may be worn during outdoor adventures and other situations where it is less practical to wear the formal troop uniform. Any appropriate pants or shorts may be worn.

Navigators/Adventurers
Class B – required ~$30 – Navigators (gray) or Adventurers (blue) Travel Polo Shirt Official Logo is considered the “Troop Uniform” and should be worn at all Troop events unless otherwise specified. Formal occasions require dark dress pants (black/navy). Either dark pants or shorts/navy blue jeans or shorts may be worn for Troop meetings and casual occasions. We kindly ask that you do not wear athletic pants or shorts unless specifically permitted.
Class C – required ~$15 – The Troop custom red t-shirt “Walk Worthy” (available through Troop) may be worn during outdoor adventures and other situations where it is less practical to wear the formal troop uniform. Any appropriate pants or shorts may be worn.
