Our Troop began as a Cub Scout pack in the early 2000’s and in 2016, joined Trail Life USA. We serve residents of Johnson, Miami and Linn county in Kansas, plus western Jackson and Cass county in Missouri.
Our Troop focuses on providing for Trailmen at all age levels, activities that are designed for adventure, learning, and leadership, all with a Christian emphasis that is essential to building moral and Biblical character.
Younger participants will learn new life skills through troop meetings, community outings and camping/hiking. Middle school aged Trailmen grow in their knowledge of outdoor and mountaineering skills and go on monthly excursions together to build character and teamwork.
High schoolers will encounter ambitious and challenging outdoor adventures, travel experiences, and the opportunity to pursue the Trail Life USA “Freedom Experience.”
All boys are welcome regardless of religion, race, national origin or socio-economic status. All adult leaders must sign a Christian statement of faith and families must agree to support the Troop’s program elements which are all taught and conducted from a Christian worldview, with God’s truth woven into the fabric of the program.
Along the trail, boys will engage with adult male leaders who are screened by Troop leadership, background checked, and trained in extensive Child Safety and Youth Protection. Our troop values our adult leaders and holds them to the high standards set by our charter organization and Trail Life USA.
